We collect information in several ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use the Services, and information obtained from third parties. Information you provide may include account and profile details such as your name, phone number, email address, password, business name, and contact details, as well as delivery preferences and saved addresses. When you place orders, we collect pickup and delivery addresses, contact names and phone numbers for senders and recipients, descriptions of Items when provided, order details, reference numbers, timestamps, and payment‑related information such as transaction amounts and payment method. We typically rely on third‑party payment processors and do not store full card numbers. If you contact us, we collect communications such as emails, in‑app messages, customer support chats, phone call logs, social media messages, feedback, ratings, and reviews. For business users, we may also collect business registration details, tax information, and other data needed to provide and manage business services.

When you use the Services, we may automatically collect usage and log information, including IP address, browser type, device type and identifiers, operating system, app version, access dates and times, pages visited, screens viewed, features used, crash logs, and performance data. We may collect location information, such as approximate or precise location from your device (if you allow us), as well as pickup and delivery locations related to your orders. Location may be obtained through GPS, Wi‑Fi, cellular networks, and similar technologies. You can usually control location sharing in your device settings, but disabling it may limit certain features like real‑time tracking. We also use cookies, web beacons, SDKs, and similar technologies to remember your preferences, understand and improve how you use the Services, and enhance performance. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although some features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

We also receive information from third parties. Delivery Agents (“DAs”) and logistics partners may provide status updates such as when an order is picked up, in transit, or delivered, along with proof of delivery like signatures and photos. Retailers, merchants, and other business partners may share order details and your contact information when you place orders on their platforms that integrate with DropIt. Payment processors and financial service providers may send payment confirmations, limited card details (for example, card type and last four digits), and fraud‑prevention information. Other users may provide your contact details when arranging delivery to you, such as your name, phone number, and address as a recipient. Service providers and analytics partners may provide aggregated or pseudonymous data used for analytics, marketing, security, and service improvement.

We use the information we collect to provide, operate, and improve the Services. This includes creating and managing your account; processing and fulfilling orders; arranging pickup, transportation, and delivery of Items; and communicating with you about orders, including confirmations, updates, and notifications. We use your information to support features such as address books, order history, tracking, and customer support, and to match and coordinate with Delivery Agents and logistics partners. We communicate with you to respond to inquiries, provide customer support, send important notices such as changes to our terms or policies, security alerts, and service‑related notifications, and to send transactional information about billing and your account.

We also use your information to monitor and analyze usage and activity, diagnose and fix technical issues, develop new features and services, and improve the user experience and performance of our Services. For safety, security, and legal compliance, we may use information to verify identity, prevent fraud and unauthorized access, protect the rights, property, and safety of users, Delivery Agents, DropIt, and the public, enforce our Terms of Service and policies, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, and respond to lawful requests such as court orders or regulatory inquiries. Where permitted by law, we may use your information for marketing and promotional purposes, including sending updates about features, offers, promotions, and services we believe may interest you and personalizing content and offers. Where required, we will obtain your consent for marketing and you may opt out at any time. We may also anonymize or aggregate information so that it can no longer reasonably identify you and use that data for any purpose.

We do not sell your personal information. However, to operate our Services, we share information in certain circumstances. To fulfill deliveries, we share relevant details with Delivery Agents and logistics partners, including pickup and delivery addresses, names and contact details of senders and recipients, order references, and any instructions necessary for pickup and delivery, as well as related location data needed for routing and tracking. When you order through a retailer or merchant that uses DropIt, we may share order and delivery status with that retailer or merchant, which may use your information under its own privacy policy. For business accounts, we may share order and usage information with authorized business contacts.

We engage third‑party service providers to perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing and fraud prevention, data hosting and cloud storage, customer support and communication tools, analytics, performance monitoring, and marketing services.
